Don’t back Down –  celebrating Freddie mercury as the ultimate inspiration in the art of being yourself fully.

FREDDIEMERCURYKÖREN was a collaborative project by Rat & Bear.

The aim of the choir was to embody and spread the motto: “Don’t Back Down!”, and celebrating Freddie Mercury as the ultimate symbol for this. The choir was designed so that anyone would be able to participate, and also hosted many workshops to encourage temporary members and constant growth.

The ultimate goal was achieved in 2010 –  to create a huge 80-people strong EURO-FREDDIEMERCURYCHOIR through a public workshop at Europride Warsaw. On Freddie’s 65th birthday in 2011, the choir performed for the last time, donating its earnings to the Mercury Phoenix Trust.
