The Story of Kil (“Sagan om Kil”) was a collaborative wall painting and local research project that took place in the small town of Kil in middle-Sweden. We collected stories, memories and urban myths from the locals, using posters with attached type-pads in the town centre, library and other public spaces. As stories were contributed, they were made part of the wall painting, creating a factional fairy tale representation of the history and reality of Kil.

“The Story of Kil” was initiated by myself and Leo Park during Tomma Rum residency project in 2012.
